Loek specializes in insolvency law. He has gained extensive experience in high-profile bankruptcies and complex (international) restructurings. Loek assists companies in financial difficulties, directors, shareholders and creditors. He specializes in insolvency litigation, including disputes on (directors’) liability, actio pauliana and (the enforcement of) security rights.
Loek also has broad experience in corporate law disputes and commercial litigation.
Loek publishes regularly. He is an author for SDU Commentary Insolvency law and is a member of the editorial boards of Bedrijfsjuridische berichten and online platform HERO. He is a member of INSOLAD, INSOL Europe and the Dutch Restructuring Association. He is ranked in Chambers and Legal500.
Before joining Rutgers & Posch in 2021, Loek was associated with Loyens & Loeff for 14 years. He completed the Grotius Insolvency Law specialization course cum laude and completed the Financial Economics for Insolvency Lawyers specialization course at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
