Huib advises and litigates on commercial disputes and commercial contracts. He represents businesses, investors, entrepreneurs and financiers, for instance in private equity, real estate, tech and finance. For example, he litigates on distribution agreements, M&A contracts and loan agreements, and he regularly advises (supervisory) board members. He also has broad experience with class actions and cartel follow-on proceedings.
Huib has extensive knowledge of contract law, liability law, private international law, attachment- and enforcement law, and corporate law. He has completed two specialist educations at Grotius Academy with honours: Enterprise & Liability (2015) and Company & Business Law (2017). Huib regularly speaks and publishes on subjects relevant for his practice. At the Professional Education of the Dutch Bar Association he teaches on corporate disputes.
Before joining Rutgers & Posch Huib worked for Loyens & Loeff for 12 years. He has extensive international experience and is a member of the International Bar Association and the International Association of Young Lawyers. In the Netherlands, he is a member of the Association for Trade Law, the Association for Procedural Law and the Corporate Litigation Association. Huib also handles pro bono matters and next to being an attorney-at-law he is active as board member/advisor of several cultural organizations.
