Claire Huijts

Attorney

Claire is an experienced employment lawyer and advises national and international clients, both in the public and private sector. She has a particular interest in the area where employment law and human rights intersect and, in that context, specializes in equal treatment law (discrimination cases), fundamental rights such as freedom of expression and employer liability. Additionally, Claire has a keen interest in the field of business and human rights. Claire has litigation experience in the civil courts, the administrative courts, and at The Netherlands Institute for Human Rights.

Claire studied Law at Utrecht University, where she completed her LLM in civil law (cum laude). She also obtained the internationally oriented bachelor’s degree University College Utrecht (cum laude) at Utrecht University as well as her LLB. Before joining Rutgers & Posch in 2024, she worked as a lawyer at Pels Rijcken. Claire is a member of the Young Employment Lawyers Association, the Civil Service & Law Association, and the International Young Lawyers Association (AIJA).
