From October 10 to 12, 2024, our colleague’s Ilaha Muhseni and Claire Huijts participated in the annual AIJA labour law seminar, which took place in Istanbul. This seminar brought together lawyers and in-house counsel from around the world to discuss the latest developments in employment law in their respective jurisdictions and to network.
Claire moderated a panel at this seminar titled “Transparency on Pay and Benefits.” During this panel the pay gap and transparent employment conditions in the different jurisdictions as well as new developments such as the European Pay Transparency Directive were discussed. Also, practical guidance was given to lawyers and employers on how to deal with this topic and how to prepare for the new Pay Transparency Directive.
