Anouk Oosterom has joined the Amsterdam law firm Rutgers & Posch as a partner as of October 15. At Rutgers & Posch, Oosterom (47) will focus on energy, corporate law (including M&A) and commercial contracting. Next to the recently appointed partner Bas Mees, Oosterom is the second partner to be starting at Rutgers & Posch in a relatively short period of time, reinforcing the corporate practice.
Oosterom brings more than 22 years of experience in the (inter)national M&A practice, focusing primarily on the energy sector. She previously worked at Loyens & Loeff and Linklaters, among others, before starting her own law firm. With Oosterom’s arrival, Rutgers & Posch is once again strengthening its national and international corporate practice. “I am looking forward to a new challenge, within an office environment where people with great enthusiasm and experience work for great clients and are interested in further expanding the energy and commercial contracting practice with me,” says Oosterom.
Inge de Laat, Managing Partner at Rutgers & Posch: “With her extensive experience, Anouk is a reinforcement for our M&A practice in general. In addition, she brings a specific focus on energy and commercial contracting, which will allow us to expand this practice within our firm. We have seen a great need for this in the market, partly to achieve the ambitious climate goals. The appointment of Anouk, and recently also the arrival of Bas Mees as partner, demonstrates the substantial growth of our corporate practice.” Anouk Oosterom is the second partner to start at Rutgers & Posch in the past month. On October 1st, Bas Mees, who specializes in mid-market M&A, private equity and venture capital, started as a partner at Rutgers & Posch.
