Bas Mees (41) is a partner at Rutgers & Posch law firm as of October 1. Mees joins as a partner from Vriman M&A Lawyers and specializes in mid-market M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions. His colleague at Vriman Joost Kuipers will also start at Rutgers & Posch as a senior associate. The knowledge and experience they bring significantly strengthens the private equity arm within Rutgers & Posch’s M&A practice.

Bas Mees brings more than sixteen years of experience in the international M&A practice. Bas was an attorney at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for over 10 years starting in 2006, and then co-founder and partner at Vriman M&A Lawyers. Joost Kuipers (36) is a corporate M&A lawyer who brings extensive knowledge of private equity. Kuipers continues his partnership with Mees and joins Rutgers & Posch as a senior associate. He previously worked as an attorney at Vriman and Stonewate, among others.
