Euronext announced on 3 January 2017 that it has made a binding offer to, and obtained exclusivity from, LCH.Clearnet Group Limited and London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSEG) to acquire 100% of the shares of Banque Centrale de Compensation SA (trading as LCH.Clearnet SA), for a purchase price of Euro 510 million.
The completion of the transaction is subject to the completion of the merger between LSEG and Deutsche Börse AG, as well as to receipt of various external approvals, including approval of the acquisition by the shareholders of Euronext and by the relevant regulatory authorities. The Reference Shareholders of Euronext support the intended acquisition and will vote in favour of the transaction at the EGM of Euronext to be held mid-February 2017.
