Rutgers & Posch wins “Benelux law firm of the year’ at The Lawyer European Awards 2015

16 March 2015

We are proud to announce that Rutgers & Posch wins ‘Benelux law firm of the year’ at The Lawyer European Award 2015 in London on 12 March 2015.

Quoted from The Lawyer:

“Just two years after its foundation, Dutch boutique Rutgers & Posch scoops the Benelux firm of the year title for its immediate impact on the market.

Rutgers & Posch was set up by a team of six partners from DLA Piper, Houthoff Buruma and Stibbe and since it was established has continued to hire. Recent arrivals include Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer partner Robert ten Have.

The firm reported turnover growth of 70 per cent between its first and second years in operation, with the corporate team performing particularly strongly on the back of a succession of mandates on mergers and capital markets.

As well as offering a standard legal service, Rutgers & Posch also has a flexible working arm – a group of around 30 lawyers who can be hired on a flexible basis as and when they are needed.

It has also put in place what one of the judges called an “ambitious coaching and leadership programme”, testing it initially on its partners before rolling it out to all lawyers and staff in the coming year.

Judges praised Rutgers & Posch’s “novel approach” to delivering legal services, and said the firm’s “phenomenal” growth made it stand out in a strong category.”
